Range Rover's Newest SV Bespoke Trio Is Capped at 250 — One for Every Year of American Independence

Range Rover's SV Bespoke division has built its most explicitly patriotic project yet: a trio of one-off-style Range Rover Sport configurations called From Sea to Sea, created exclusively for United States buyers to mark the 250th anniversary of American independence. The name is literal — each of the three builds is themed around a different stretch of American geography, and production across the collection is capped at 250 examples, one for every year since 1776.

Desert Ember takes its cues from the American Southwest: a Sunrise Copper Satin exterior under a Gold Sand contrast roof, 23-inch wheels finished with Sunset Copper inserts, and an Ebony semi-aniline leather cabin with a matching Ebony leather headliner built to echo red-rock terrain. Summit Frost inverts the palette entirely, drawing on the snow-capped peaks of America's national parks with Icy White Gloss paint, a Dark Blue contrast roof, and Perlino semi-aniline leather inside. Ocean Crest, the third configuration, takes the Atlantic-to-Pacific theme most directly, finished in Constellation Blue Gloss with a silver-and-light-blue contrast roof and matching 23-inch wheel inserts.

All three ride on the same mechanical package: a BMW-sourced twin-turbo 4.4-litre V8 making 523 hp and 553 lb-ft, good for 0-60 mph in 4.3 seconds. Pricing starts at $215,000 for the standard-wheelbase Range Rover Sport and $219,700 for the long-wheelbase, before any further SV Bespoke customization.

No Price Ceiling, and a Commissioning Network Built to Match

From Sea to Sea is a US-only run, but it's a showcase for something Range Rover is building everywhere: a global network of "Range Rover House" commissioning suites, where clients sit down with SV Bespoke designers and build a car from scratch rather than pick from a configurator. The network already spans London, Antwerp, Munich, Vancouver, Beijing, Tokyo and Dubai, with JLR targeting a dozen such suites worldwide as the program expands. Asked recently how expensive a bespoke Range Rover could get, an SV Bespoke executive put no number on it at all: "I don't see a limit — honestly, I think it depends on the value that we generate for the customer."

That's a notable statement for Dubai specifically, because the city already has its own Range Rover House and a client base fluent in exactly this kind of geography-led, one-of-one commissioning — the kind of buyer who'd rather spec a car around a specific dune formation or coastline than take one off a lot. From Sea to Sea won't be sold here, but it's a clear preview of what Range Rover's Dubai commissioning suite is being built to produce next: a fully bespoke Range Rover Sport or Range Rover, priced without a ceiling, built around whatever story a GCC client wants it to tell.
